James F. Pienovi, Strategic Planning and Market Development

Mr. Pienovi has been building organizations and leading organizational change for more than 30 years. His experience spans small startup companies to large utilities. He has held officer-level positions in corporate finance, information processing, marketing, customer relations, and administration.

During his career, Mr. Pienovi has managed a number of strategic planning and new initiative programs. He has experience with the formation of new business units. He is also practiced at managing the specific mergers and acquisitions needed to fulfill corporate growth objectives.

In the field of product development and business-to-business marketing, Mr. Pienovi has extensive experience, especially within the energy field. As Vice President of Business and Economic Development at PacifiCorp, he was responsible for the establishment of joint ventures with Japanese and European businesses. As Chief Marketing Officer, he was responsible for the creation of a new marketing and sales organization at PacifiCorp. This organization created new electricity related products and introduced them into four western states.

Mr. Pienovi has also had a wide variety of experiences as an entrepreneur. He was the founder and CEO of Onsite Energy Inc., later to be known as Pacific Generating Company. He also co-founded other firms including EcoGroup Inc., a Phoenix, Arizona-based energy and environmental education firm. 

For TC+ES, Mr. Pienovi advises senior management on many strategic and marketing matters.
